| Title | Adapting to the growing trends in the LNP industry – Bioconjugation and Lyophilization |
|---|---|
| Date | 2026.08.25 (13:00 - 13:20) | IR Pitching Seminar Room (The Platz Hall) |
| Organization | CordenPharma |
| Speaker | Dr. Matthieu Giraud, Senior Director, Global Platform Head Lipids & Nanomedicines Services |
[Brief Introduction of Seminar]
Lipid Nanoparticles (LNPs) are a cornerstone of modern genomic medicine delivery enabling breakthroughs such as rapid mRNA vaccine deployment during COVID-19. Beyond vaccines, LNPs advance gene editing and protein replacement therapies. Formulation parameters are critical for RNA encapsulation, protection and endosomal escape, providing critical potency and safety. Conjugating LNPs to peptides, antibodies, sugars or aptamers enables tissue specific targeting and receptor mediated uptake, reducing off-target effects. Conjugatable lipid anchors define ligand orientation, stability and accessibility – key for targeting efficiency and therapeutic performance.
